Put an order on Apr 12, received it on Apr 20 (I started wondering if I would even get it at all by the end). Honestly, quite disappointed. Not sure about the authenticity of this African net sponge, can’t see it mentioned in the description or anywhere on the website. Tried to figure it out by watching different videos and apparently one of the tells is knots on the sponge, which mine does not have. I thought it did, but I don’t really think that these “intersections” are really knots. At least, it doesn’t look as knots on the others’ sponges. When I touch it, it feels to flat to the touch, so it’s another thing that makes me doubt whether it really has the knots. Maybe, it’s just the brown one that I ordered, cause when I look at the photo of the yellow one, it seems a bit different. Anyway, didn’t really like the texture either, seemed a bit too harsh for my skin.
The African sponge is the best at exfoliating the skin and used it with a scrub and soap. It is very sturdy and soft at the same time, suitable for sensitive skin.
A real pleasure to use and far nicer than hardy body brushes and loofahs. A real beautiful buy.
I received my order with additional goodies of a body butter and lip balm which are both absolutely gorgeous and nourishing. Would definitely recommend purchasing from this lovely company.
